Despite the torrential downpour, flooding, and brutal lightning bolts that took down multiple trees on the festival grounds, spirits were still high yesterday. Festival goers found plenty of innovative ways to amuse themselves while the production crew took the time to clean up the two main stages. Fortunately, afternoon acts weren't knocked off the bill, but rather rescheduled to play shorter time slots. Headliner - Phil Lesh and Friends, however, were still able to perform their 4 hour show. Luckily for me, I was doing some edits under the media tent as the storm quickly made it's way over Seaside Park. However, the coercive force of the wind brought more rainfall into the open air tent than I would've liked. Another journalist and I had to endure a solid 45 minutes of covering our equipment for dear life to avoid any water damage to our beloved cameras and laptop computers. Anyway, what's a festival without a little rain?
