Hunters Point Luxury Condos

Three years ago, I was hired by Brown Harris Stevens and The Simone Development Group to photograph the exterior views and floor plans of two Long Island City based buildings that were far from being completed. There were no walls, no elevators - just 14 floors of concrete and steal beams. I moved quickly from unit to unit in sub-freezing temperatures to photograph the most aesthetically pleasing skyline views in order for my client to sell these units to potential buyers. At a time when the real estate market was at a low, I questioned whether these future condos would ever be home to the wealthy foreign investors they were originally planned for. I tried to envision marble floors, Viking ranges, and  floor-to-ceiling views of the U.N. and Chrysler Building directly across the East River. While hoping for good luck and success to my client, I certainly had my doubts.

 Fast-forward three years and these two buildings are up and thriving, with over 60% of the units sold in each development. I was recently asked to come back to both sites to photograph the building exteriors for marketing purposes, and I've got to say that I was pretty impressed with the developer's results.
